Information about the local competition to select the Sanremo Junior 2026 Malta Winner

All Participants will perform their song in front of an audience and a panel of judges.

Once all participants have performed their song, the judges will select the 50 participants for the semi finals who will then perform their song again between the 18th and 24th January. Twenty five (25) participants will be selected to perform in the final on the 24th January for the MALTA REPRESENTATIVE to be selected.

• All participants will get the chance to perform their song in front of an audience and a panel of judges.

• There will be an elimination process whereby 50 participants will go through to the semi finals.

• 25 participants will go through to the final event where the winner will be selected.

Summary of the conditions of entry:

Online selections – €125 registration fee for every participant.
To take part in the competition, the contestants must be from 6 to 15 years old.
All music genres: pop music, rock, jazz, folk and rap.
Musical pieces can be sung in Italian and any other languages, or dialects.
For the Selection, the contestants may only sing one musical piece. Each piece must be no longer than three minutes and thirty seconds (3’30”) and it cannot be changed or substituted for any reason during the entire competition.
Your song must be submitted no later than 6 November, 2026.
No voice is allowed on the music bases (autotune, harmonising, doubling of voices or choirs), should that happen, the competitor will be excluded from the competition.
The informations for the Final Stages of Sanremo will be sent only to the participants selected. No notification of ‘non-admission’ will be sent to those who are not admitted.
The winning participant will be responsible for covering the participation fee of €390 directly to Sanremo and all travel expenses in accordance with the Conditions of Entry.
